“Accidents change peoples lives” and one certainly changed mine.
This was 8 years ago and I have suffered in more ways than I care to imagine but always I believed there was a way of dragging myself back into normal life where I would be accepted again.
That might be a strange thing to write down but it’s true, mention the word ‘Disabled’ or ‘Disibility’ and you get strange looks plus you get treated as a second rate citizen.
Hence nowadays I tell people I’m ‘Retired’ why? because it saves them the embarrassment of making excuses.
In January 2008 I discovered Online Marketing and finally thought I found something which would finally give me the independance that I craved for.
It has been a tough 2 years with plenty of ups and downs, some good some not but still I keep plugging away. The most important thing in life that I ever learnt was to never give up, to keep on trying, keep practising and you will get it right.
Prior to 2008 I played with a few programmes some paid for, others were Free but none really taught me anything.
I remember one site teased you with small amonts of information then made you pay to find out the next bit.
This was quickly binned.
Then I came across a site that talked about becoming an Online Marketer which was what I wanted to learn about.
You paid Monthly via PayPal which suited me and I joined.
Firstly I started working through the Action Plans, I had never come across so much information, it was laid out in easy to follow steps but still I struggled to understand or remember any of it.
Kept going, reading and re-reading, making notes until it started to sink in.
For me this was really hard work because I hadn’t studied anything in very long time, I left School over 30 years ago.
Then I decided to take Action myself and created my first ever site, back then the free platform to use was Squidoo and I started creating Lenses promoting all sorts of Products.
This was working very well for me except when I became ill again.
This slowed me up again but it’s something I have to put up with.
Finding the right course to take isn’t an easy choice with so many sites popping up all over the place offering all sorts of incentives.
But what I have found is that this site Delivers what it Promises and that for me was important hence now I am still a member after all this time.
